SIDERFER® IW – SIDERFER® SW

To meet the high performance requirements for elongation, flexibility, impact and cut resistance, developed the SIDERFER® IW and SIDERFER® SW series of belts, which use a high-performance metal carcass.

STRENGTHS.

Low elongation at working load, Long-distance use, High resistance to mechanical stress.

To respond more and more effectively to growing industrial demands for advanced mechanical performance, SIDERFER® IW and SIDERFER® SW series belts have been developed. These belts represent a technologically advanced solution designed to ensure high levels of efficiency even under the most demanding operating conditions. Performance requirements include, in particular, excellent elongation capability, high flexibility, as well as outstanding impact resistance and superior cut resistance, all of which are essential in production environments where material stress is continuous and intense.

Underlying this performance is the use of a high-performance metal carcass, which forms the structural heart of the belt. Thelongitudinal warp is formed by steel cables, specially treated with a brass-plated process, the main purpose of which is to significantly improveadhesion to the rubber, thereby increasing cohesion between the different layers of the belt. Completing the structure is a brass-plated steel weft, which contributes to making the entire system extremely flexible, as well as agile, promoting smoother handling and adaptability to various working conditions.

One of the main advantages offered by this innovative design is the possibility of using drums with reduced diameters, an aspect that clearly distinguishes these belts from their textile-cased counterparts . This allows not only foroptimization of space within the plant, but more importantly for important energy savings due to the lower resistance to movement and the consequent reduction in power requirements.

Depending on specific application needs, the transverse weft can be configured in two variants: single (IW) or double (SW). The presence of the double weft, in particular, offers an additional level of protection against longitudinal shear, making the belt even more durable in particularly aggressive working environments or those subject to constant stress.

Finally, both the SIDERFER® IW and SIDERFER® SW series are made with closed edges, a feature that helps to increase their durability over time, preventing edge degradation and improving the overall stability of the product even during prolonged use.
