SECONDARY SCRAPERS

Secondary scrapers ensure effective cleaning of the underside of the conveyor belt, improving efficiency and reducing system wear. Easy to install, they are available in various materials to adapt to different operating conditions. Compatible with various types of belts, they offer a long service life and reduce the maintenance required.

STRENGTHS

Secondary scrapers ensure effective cleaning of the conveyor belt, improving the efficiency, durability, and reliability of the entire system.

Secondary scrapers are a fundamental component for ensuring optimal cleaning of the underside of the conveyor belt. They are strategically positioned on the outer side of the return belt, near the drive pulley, where they perform a decisive cleaning action by removing material residues that may remain adhered to the belt surface after passing over the head pulley. This function contributes significantly to maintaining the operational efficiency of the entire transport system, ensuring a cleaner working environment, free from unwanted build-up and potential obstructions.

The installation of secondary scrapers is quick and simple, designed to integrate perfectly with most existing systems without requiring complex structural modifications. They are available with blades made of different materials, such as polyurethane for light applications, or tungsten and Widia for heavier-duty uses, offering high wear resistance and a long service life even in demanding working conditions. The choice of blade material can be tailored to the nature of the material being transported, thus ensuring maximum efficiency and durability.

Suitable for belt widths between 400 and 2000 mm, secondary scrapers are compatible with both unidirectional and reversible systems. Upon request, they can also be made of stainless steel, an ideal solution for particularly aggressive or corrosive environments, such as in the chemical or food industries, or in the presence of high humidity.

These devices prove particularly effective in managing dry and non-sticky materials, but thanks to their design and construction features, they can also adapt to wetter or stickier materials, removing excess residue and neatly conveying it to the discharge area. Installation on the underside of the belt, specifically in the return zone, allows for deep and continuous cleaning of the lower belt surface, significantly reducing the need for manual maintenance.

In conclusion, the use of secondary scrapers not only improves plant hygiene and efficiency, but also ensures greater system reliability, a reduction in machine downtime, decreased component wear, and an extended service life for the conveyor belt and surrounding structures.

RELATED PRODUCTS

PRIMARY SCRAPERS

Primary scrapers, installed tangentially on the head pulley, remove residues from the conveyor belt, improving cleanliness and operational efficiency. They are compatible with belts from 400 to 2,000 mm and offer polyurethane, tungsten, or carbide blades, depending on the degree of abrasiveness. The simple tensioning system and wear indicator facilitate maintenance.

STANDARD CROSS SCRAPERS

Cross scrapers ensure continuous and effective cleaning of the underside of belts, removing even sludge and viscous materials. They are made of special rubber or polyurethane, resistant to wear even under severe conditions. The cross shape and optional support brackets facilitate installation and increase system efficiency.
