Conveyor belts with EP inserts are designed with a differentiated core structure designed for superior strength and durability. The core is composed of polyester fabrics in warp and nylon in weft, providing an optimal combination for the belt’s working conditions.
The longitudinal structure, reinforced by a high-strength, low-elongationreinforcement, gives the tape great stability, resistance to weathering, particularlymoisture, and exceptional durability.
The nylon weave offers superior flexibility in the transverse direction, which allows it to handle high concavity bearing stations, while providing excellent resistance to impacts caused by falling materials, even large ones.
The abbreviation EP is followed by a group of digits indicating the strength class of the belt, which is determined by the nominal value of the breaking strength of the carcass and the number of plies making up the belt.
EP casings, for specific applications where high tear resistance is required, can be protected by a transverse metal breaker, BKR, with 1.25-mm-diameter, 5-mm-pitch cables inserted between the casing and top cover.
